Lions
There’s a reason lions are referred to as Kings and Queens of the jungle! These majestic creatures are found mainly in sub-Saharan Africa roaming around in open woodlands for best hunting tactics. They are the only cats that live in packs and are very social animals. Their roar that can be heard from 5 miles away! Along with their distinctive prominent manes, on male lions, lions are some of the heaviest animals on the planet. Generally, females will weigh around 290lbs or 130kg when fully grown, while males can grow to 400lbs or 180kg on average. That’s one BIG cat! This largeness extends to its claws! Ever seen the length of a lion’s claw? They are thought to be around the length of a human finger! That’s pretty claw-some.
